I have decided to transfer as a second-degree student at UNC Charlotte. Below is the list of courses I will have to take in order to receive my second degree in Computer Science.

Semesters "1" and "2" represent courses taken in the recent past. Semesters "3" through "8" represent classes required at UNC Charlotte.

The first thing you may notice is the lack of general-ed requirements listed in Semesters "3" through "8." Second-Degree students are not required to take general-education requirements.

The second thing that one might notice is that my three-year schedule seems rather long for a second-degree requiring no gen-ed studies. Normally, circumventing gen-ed classes would leave a second-degree student with only two years of schooling, yet mine shows that I will require three years, not including my classes at CCCTI (two of which will transfer to UNCC). This is simply do to the rigorous nature of UNCC's College of Computing and Informatics's (CCI) coursework. Normally, achieving a BS in Computer Science takes five years to complete rather than the usual four. With this in mind, my coursework will be rather light by comparison.
